• This meeting was called to order at 1301. Board members present were Kristal Lee (President), Jerita James (VP1), Robert Ware (VP2), Mary Phillips (Treasurer), Christy Aguirre (Pre-nursing Liaison), and Beverly Hill (Webmaster).

• GANS was a big success! CCSU won the Penny Wars, allowing us to bring home $519.08. Thanks to all for the contributions!

• CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR OFFICERS

  • Robert Ware’s essay “What GANS Means to Me” won him a paid trip to Nationals this year. 

  • Kristal Lee received the Emily McNelly Member of the Year Award, a plaque, the knowledge lamp, and a $250 scholarship. 

• Stacy Clements is representing us as our new West District Director. She is also our member of the month! Congratulations to Stacey!!

• For Nationals, we are taking a tour bus that seats only 55 people, so if you plan to go, plan to let us know ASAP. FYI: Active SNA members will be paid for first.

• SNA/NSNA applications are due by Thursday, October 23^rd. They will be mailed the following Monday. The next shipment is not until Christmas.

• Our new Jr. Reps are Erica Whetzel and Scottie Young.

• Jr./Sr. Forum will be November 7^th @ 1:30 p.m. Emails will be sent with further information.

• Our next Bake Sale will be November 20^th. Feel free to bring hot chocolate, cookies, cakes, and whatever else will draw eyes and growling stomachs!!

• PORTFOLIO OPPORTUNITIES: Riverdale High School-10/21 and 10/30; Meals in Wheels- 10/18; AIDS Walk-10/19; Juvenile Diabetes Walk-10/25; Rainbow Walk-11/15. Check us out on the website for more information.
