SNA Minutes
- January 26, 2004

This
meeting was called to order at 3:05 p.m.
Officers present were Kristal Lee (President), Robert Ware
(VP2), Mary Philips (Treasurer), Ayesha Muhammad (Secretary), Christie Aguirre
(Pre-Nursing Liaison), and Beverly Hill (Webmaster).

NEW MEMBERS: SNA has 25 new
members!! Welcome!

MEETINGS: There will only be three
more meetings for this school year. They will all be held on Mondays. The tentative
dates and times are as follow:
- Feb. 16th @ 3:00 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.
- March 29 @ 3:00 p.m. ONLY
(Candidate speeches will be given at this meeting)
- April 12 @ 3:00 p.m. ONLY

T-SHIRTS are in from the 1st
order!! If you ordered a t-shirt RECENTLY, they should be here in a week or
so. T-shirts will not be sold again until the Fall semester.
- NSNA MEMBERSHIP CARDS: If you
have not received one yet and you PAID NSNA fees (EXCLUDING those who joined
recently, please e-mail Ayesha so
we can find out what's wrong. If you have any questions about dues, please
e-mail Mary.
- E-MAIL: If you are a member and
you're not receiving e-mail from Kristal,
please e-mail her so that she will have your e-mail address.
- UPCOMING EVENTS: Some of the
upcoming events are MallWalkers (Feb. 9); BP/Cholesterol screenings at
Kendrick Middle School (Feb. 19)...Please, visit our website for more
information.
- PICTURES ON WEB: Your pictures
are welcome on the SNA website. Please make sure that the pictures you turn
in are nursing related. Just let Beverly
know and send them to her so that she can put them on the web page.
- NSNA: March 31-April 04. We need
an estimate as to how many people will be attending so we can approximate
how many we can pay for. We will stay at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in
Nashville. We will travel by way of Motorcoach bus (49 passengers
seated).
- PINNING CEREMONY: Juniors are
needed for the pinning ceremony. Jr. reps will relay the info. within the
next few months. Please e-mail Holly Roberts at csu10271@mail.claytonstate.net
if you are interested in helping.
- NEWSLETTER: Please feel free to
submit articles, nursing humor, etc., to Jerita for the newsletter. We
also need your nominations for SNA Member of the Month!
- CERTIFICATES: SNA membership
certificates were passed out. If you did not receive one, they will be
passed out again at the next meeting.
