About Lora Liu:
Besides my passion for learning and caring for other people, I love
to read, play games, hang out with my husband, family and friends,
lay in the sun (with plenty of sunscreen!), and travel. I also like
to sing and act and almost majored in theatre. I want to take my
nursing skills to less fortunate parts of the world and help the
people who are suffering.

Hi all,
I am delighted to be part of your executive board this year. The
last 2 years have been an experience. I can almost say I have met
my goal (BSN), one of them any way. I have wanted to be a nurse my
entire life but that dream was put on hold to pursue the job of
being a mother and wife. I have 6 children two in college and 2
grandchildren. When I first decide to re-enroll in school I did not
realize the time constraints that would be required of me. In
addition to my studying for classes and getting up before dawn for
clinicals I decided to run for 1st VP of the Clayton's Student
Nurses Association. Things went well so I decided to run for the
Georgia Association of nursing students West District Director.
Although, they both require a lot of time I would not have traded
these experiences for anything. I graduate this semester and I
truly can say I have had a full experience. The organization has
given me the drive to stay on top of my studies and I have met
friends that I will have for a life time. I am honored to serve on
the board for this last semester.

I am M.
Kanita Key, a 4th semester senior student and your acting 2nd Vice
President. My interest in nursing was sparked by the fact that
nursing is a challenging field that offers opportunities for growth
professionally, personally, and financially. The financial benefit
of being a nurse is rewarding, but it is not my number one
priority. I feel more content knowing that I have influenced a
person’s life in a way that will cause them to make lifestyle
changes that will improve the length and quality of their lives. I
have accomplished more than I set out to do in this program. The BSN
program has helped me build a solid foundation on which I can build
my career in nursing. I have become a well-rounded nurse by
successfully completing the program outcomes and through educational
experiential activities. Obtaining a Bachelors degree in Nursing is
only the beginning for me.

I am Barbara Zvonar. I am a 4th
semester senior student and your treasurer for this fall. I have
enjoyed being a part of the CSU SNA board for the past three
semesters. When I am not doing school work which is not very often
this last semester, I enjoy cooking and spending time with my
husband.

My name is Leah Wilson. I was born
and raised in Augusta, GA and I have been living in Jonesboro
for the last two years. I have 2 brothers and one sister. I
don't have any children but I have 2 nieces and 2 nephews. I am
currently in my third semester of Clayton State University. It
took a long time to get here but I'm almost done! Can't wait to
graduate! I'm a very easy going person and I love God! Thanks
for electing me as your alternate treasurer. I'll do my best to
help keep the finances in great standing!

Jessi Hare
Amanda Scruggs
We’re Jessi Hare and Amanda Scruggs. We’re your CSU Breakthrough to
Nursing Directors for the 2009-2010 school year. Both of us graduate
in May 2010, and we both work at Spalding Regional in Griffin. Jessi
is a nurse extern and Amanda is a unit secretary and nurse extern.
You’ll usually see us together along with Aubrey Scott, the
Alternate Board Member. But for the sake of individuality here’s a
little about each of us:
Amanda lives in Locust Grove with her husband and child. She enjoys
cooking, reading, and sleeping. She wanted to go into nursing
because of the opportunity to meet different kinds of people and
help them through difficult situations in their lives.
Jessi lives in Peachtree City with her grandmother. She enjoys
reading and going to concerts. She wanted to go into nursing because
she wanted a career with a challenge that would have an impact on
people’s lives.

I’m
Aubrey Scott and I’m your SNA Alternate for 2009-2010. I’m a senior
at Clayton State and will be graduating in May 2010! I work at
Hallmark in during the few spare minutes I’m not in school. During
those other spare minutes I love to travel, read, and go to
concerts. I wanted to go into nursing for the challenge the career
would entail and I wanted to be able to have a direct impact for the
better on people’s lives.

I'm Loan
Nguyen Land and in the 3rd semester of nursing school. Between
school and keeping up with the website, I enjoy playing my dog and
spending time with my husband who is the reason why I am in nursing
school. I can't wait until I graduate and pass the boards exam.
Hopefully then, I can start a second attempt at my life after school
and move forward with what I have always wanted and have been
getting ready to do... help others.
