Membership Requirements
Interested in becoming a
member of the Alpha Nu Xi chapter of Sigma Tau Delta?
To be eligible for membership, you must meet the following criteria:
1.
Majoring or minoring* in English
2. Completed 45 hours of course work
3. Earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
4. Earned a minimum GPA of 3.0 in English
5. Completed two courses in English above ENGL 1102
Dr. Godlasky reviews the
eligibility of all English majors each semester, so you need not apply to be
invited to join.
*If you are minoring in
English and believe that you meet the above criteria, please contact Dr.
Godlasky (rebeccagodlasky@clayton.edu). Minors are not identified on your DUCK
records.

Benefits
Members in good standing are
eligible for a number of benefits, including:
-Honor Stole for graduation
-Sigma Tau Delta scholarships
-Ability to submit work to The Sigma Tau Delta Review and to The
Rectangle
-Financial support for ENGL2200 Literary London Study Tour
-Ability to submit work for inclusion at the annual Sigma Tau Delta convention
-Financial support for attending the annual Sigma Tau Delta convention
-Sigma Tau Delta internships
To qualify as a member in
good standing, you must meet the following criteria:
-All dues must be paid in
full
-You must participate in one (non-social) activity per semester
-To qualify for financial support for travel, you must participate in
fund-raising activities
