A Vision

Sangam's diversity is like threads. Short threads, long threads, colorful threads, silky threads, metal threads, strong threads, weak threads, loose threads. Threads. Do you know what threads can do?
These threads can be made into mom's hand woven sweater that gives you warmth in the coldest winter nights. They can be sewn into intricate embroidery. They can also become the threads that sew someone's heart in a life-saving surgery.
Threads, indeed. But these weak and fragile threads can also become the strength in a rope. A rope that could save someone from drowning. Perhaps, a rope which can pull mountains together. Mere threads can do so much more when put together with other threads.
An Indian, a Pakistani, a Sri Lankan and a Bangladeshi, are all threads. Fragile and weak, by themselves. When they come together, they in support of each other, can overcome the barriers of culture, language, and such differences. When that will happen, their strength cannot be challenged, their belief of oneness cannot be shaken, and the barriers of language and culture are overcome by pluralism.
This is SANGAM. A "sangam" where everything that seems divergent, converges.

"Good things don't last forever". "Struggle is the meaning of Life. Victory is in the hands of God. Struggle is man's duty and should be joy."
-Sir Sultan Muhamed Shah

I am pursuing a double major in Mathematics and Biology. With a passion to teach and a will to make a difference, I started this journey as a tutor at Centre for Academic Success. With dedication, perseverance and hard work as my tools to achieve my goals, I will be teaching as an instructor at a University Level, as a teacher who doesn't teach "How to earn a living", but teaches " How to live".

Vice President: Paras Sharma
