Faces of IAA

Hello, my name is Leah Brownell and I am 20 years old. I am from British Columbia, Canada, and live in a town called Penticton. This is my third year here in Georgia and my second year at CCSU. Currently I am a pre-education major and hope to teach someday either in Canada or in the United States. This will be my second year acting as the President for the International Awearness Association and my goal is to help bring out the cultural diversity here at CCSU. International awareness and diversity is an issue that everybody is a part of and an area in which everybody can contribute something.




Henri is the Vice President of the International Awareness Association, and is from Lebanon.



Hi, my name is Saori and am the secretary of IAA. I am a native of Japan, and my major is Integrative Studies, combining American Humanics, Spanish, and sociology. I joined this club because I wanted to help international students who have problems. I also wanted to know people around the world. It always gives me a whole new perspective and I like that!



Jean Myers works in the registrar's office, and we refer to her as "the mother" to the club!
