What gets you bent?

I

Courses

It annoys me when you have your entire schedule planned out and they cancel your class without letting you know why. It happened again this semester.  I showed up to the first day of class only to be told it had been cancelled.  At this rate I’m never going to graduate on time!

What is up with the boring professors?  Isn’t there some sort of instruction for instructors (maybe “How to Teach Effectively 101”)? My professor came, read (from the textbook) and left. I could have bought the audio book if I wanted to learn that way.

Jazzman’s

Someone should explain to the management that having two people working when the café is empty versus one person when twelve people are waiting in line is bad business. The baristas are awesome but they are not superwomen (though my strawberry slushy was definitely out of this world) I’ve seen many people turn around and walk back out when they see only one person working and a line out the door.

I LOVE the coffee at Jazzman’s and the muffins aren’t too shabby either, but the seating availability stinks.  I suppose you are supposed to just take your coffee and run because there isn’t much seating to choose from and what is available sure isn’t comfortable.  We sit at hard desks all day long.  Is it too much to ask for a seat cushion or two while we enjoy a cup of java between classes?

Pedestrians

If one more person just steps off the curb in front of the UC without looking where they are going, while people are trying to get to the parking lot, there is going to be a major accident. Pay attention! Didn’t your mother teach you to look both ways before crossing?
