Constitution of the CSU Ambassadors Team
Purpose
To assist the Office of Admissions in creating, fostering, and cultivating lasting relationships with potential students and the community in an effort to spur interest and increase enrollment at Clayton State University.
ARTICLE I
Nature and Function of the CSU Ambassadors Team
The Ambassadors Team of Clayton State University shall be a team consisting of students at CSU who work in advisory and volunteer capacity to the Office of Admissions at CSU.
The group will assist the Office of Admissions in administering open houses on campus, give daily tours during the Spring and Fall Semesters, serve as student mentors to fellow freshman ambassadors, and visit secondary schools in the surrounding area to publicize CSU and spur interest in what Clayton State University has to offer. The group will also assist in any other programs held by the Office of Admissions during the school year and the other activities set forth by the membership of the Ambassadors Team.
ARTICLE II
Membership and New Member Training
The membership of the CSU Ambassadors Team consists of all currently registered students at Clayton State University who have completed the application process and maintains good standing with the organization.

ARTICLE III
Structure of the CSU Ambassadors Team
The membership of the Ambassadors Team will be composed of all students who have completed the membership application, interview, and any training set forth by the advisor or Executive Board during the interview.
All members will possess the same membership and voting rights regardless of rank, class status, or level of membership within the organization. Some members will qualify for extra opportunities and fringe benefits based upon level of participation and involvement by a point system designated by the organization. See Article IV for more details on the point system.
Officers of the organization must meet certain GPA and completed hour’s requirements unless there are no registered members who meet the officer requirements. The following officer positions have been approved by the voting body of the CSU Ambassadors Team.
1. Communications Coordinator
2. Events Coordinator
3. Tour Coordinator
4. Fundraising Coordinator
The Duties and Rights of Membership are Listed Below:
i. Have all rights and responsibilities as granted to CSU Ambassadors
ii. Assume additional duties and responsibilities as determined by the Ambassadors Team and the Office of Admissions
iii. Serve in an advisory capacity to all ambassadors and supervise all activities and training of ambassadors
iv. Work with the Office of Admissions and the Ambassadors Team to plan and coordinate ambassador activities on campus and off campus (CSU events, forums, activities, parties, etc…)
v. Make executive decisions concerning the Team in absence of team members and vote by majority vote in case of a tie
vi. Officers must maintain a 2.25 GPA and have completed 60 semester hours to hold officer positions (minimum 15 from Clayton State University)
vii. Must be an Ambassador in good standing for at least one year
viii. Be of junior or senior class standing
ix. Meet at least once a month
x. Attend all executive and general meetings
xi. Communicate all information to the general assembly
i. Perform all duties of the coordinator position as listed in Article III, Section 3
ii. Maintain Ambassador communications, applications, and other paperwork
iii. Complete all Student Life forms to remain active and in good standing as an organization of Clayton State University including but not limited to: travel forms, SARFS, fundraiser forms, organization status and updates
iv. Maintain records of meetings minutes as well as keep Ambassadors informed of team activities by email and such
i. Perform all duties of the coordinator position as listed in Article III, Section 3
ii. Coordinate student volunteer for setup, greeting, tours, browse fair, panel, ice-breakers, and clean up for Open House
iii. Coordinate and perform any other duties for Probe, Counselor’s Luncheon, and other special events for the Admissions Office
iv. Serve in a clerical capacity of the Communications Coordinator during times in between special events
i. Perform all duties of the coordinator position as listed in Article III, Section 3
ii. Communicated tour times to Ambassadors, keep tour schedule, and maintain post-tour evaluations
iii. Makes sure follow-ups to tours are complete
i. Perform all duties of the coordinator position as listed in Article III, Section 3
ii. Maintain a committee of Ambassadors to plan, organize, and implement activities for both student and fundraising events
iii. Keep records of all monies, both student and fundraiser
iv. Distribute and collect all monies to be deposited or debited from accounts
ARTICLE IV
Points, Participation, and Level of Membership
The points/participation scale ultimately defines the level of benefits that members are allowed to partake. These benefits may come from the generosity of the Admissions Office, through the Executive Board, or in the form of off campus activities such as a spring trip. All members agree to abide by these rules for membership status, rewards, and future membership benefits.
The Executive Board will assess points. Ambassadors must earn 20 points each academic semester in order to remain in good standing. The board will name the value of each event as well. A copy of the points must remain intact with the current version of the CSU Ambassadors Team Constitution.
